Erica and Sue at Sweet Paws have been walking our German Shepherd Sascha for about a year now. Erica took the time to come to our home to meet us and find out about our needs before our service started, which was so professional. I was really surprised to find out how affordable their service is.
Sascha has some special issues with regards to her fears of being in vehicles and being away from home in general. Both Erica and Sue have been amazing, helping Sascha (and me) deal with this challenge. Sascha loves her walks now and the exercise is vital for her. I can simply take her for a walk or hike on the weekend if I wish, knowing she has had all the exercise and "dog time" that she needs during the week when my schedule is busy. Everyone in our house is so relieved at this amazing arrangement.

I couldn't recommend Sweet Paws any more highly. Before my family heard about Sweet Paws, several years ago, our dog was engaging in destructive behavior because she wasn't getting enough exercise. Since she hooked up with her lovely, kind friends Erica and Sue, not to mention all her four-footed chums, she is extremely happy and healthy. She goes out three times a week, rain or shine, for long, energetic romps in the mountains and always comes back tired and calm. Sweet Paws has been a godsend for her and for us.

Our dog Lizzy has been a client of Sweet Paws for over a year. Lizzy is a high-energy dog and we, as a family, couldn't take her out long enough to get out all her energy. Erica and Susan take Lizzy out twice a week and she comes back tired, relaxed and very happy. As one of the original Sweet Paws clients, I have praise for the wonderful service Erica and Sue provide. Sadly, my old boy has passed away but I can say he spent very happy hours on the trails with Erica. The mention of her name was enough to elicit an enthusiastic tail wag. We are now on to our second generation with Sweet Paws with a very different personality of dog. Erica dubbed her "mischief in a dog suit" when she was only a few months old and that is a completely accurate descriptor. Thankfully, Erica is a strong "pack leader" and our "mischief's" training gets excellent reinforcement and support. Our girl loves her trail walks and when she sees the doggie wagon pull into the driveway, her excited barks clearly say thank you, thank you, what a wonderful day!

My dog Sandy has been walking with the Sweet Paws dog walkers for about a year. I was reluctant to hire a dog walker at first, thinking that I could make the time for regular walks with Sandy myself, but as I got busier, it just wasn't happening.
Erica was great about finding out what kind of personality Sandy has and making sure to match her with a group of dogs with whom she would be comfortable. I have been really impressed with the staff's knowledge of dogs and dog behavior. From the very first walk, Sandy was sold and so was I. Every now and then, I am home when the time comes for Sandy to get picked up for her walk and she is a bundle of excitement as soon as she sees the truck pull into the driveway. She is also well exercised when she returns. For me and my dog, Sandy, Sweet Paws has worked out tremendously well.

What's even better is she returns from the trails happy, muddy and exhausted! Erica and Sue get an extra workout toweling her off at the end of her adventures. I observed Erica on a couple of occasions when out walking with my own dog, Mist. I was so awestruck by the way she effortlessly managed a small pack of clearly ecstatic off-leash dogs of assorted size and energy level that I failed to register that she must be a dogwalker — I was thinking more along the lines of St. Francis of Assisi. It took a while to bump into her again and inquire if she was indeed a dog walker and if she could accommodate my dog a couple of days a week. Working from home, I got to observe the anticipation as pickup time approached not to mention the pacing and frequent window checks if "the gang" was delayed for any reason. Of course, two days became 3 and Mist soon became a M-F regular. We have since relocated from BC but I am writing this testimonial from my North Shore hotel room 'cause there's no way Mist could visit Vancouver without getting to go out with her favorite walkers and canine friends — hotel staff and guests laugh as I am dragged across the lobby and out to the Sweet Paws truck and marvel at the happy canine pack peeping out of the truck as their friend approaches.
The Sweet Paws staff have proven themselves professional and accommodating time and again. I can't recommend them enough (neither can Mist).
