North Shore Dog Walking : Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How Do You Get All Of The Dogs To Listen And Cooperate?
A: We understand the way that dogs communicate. We bond with our clients' dogs using simple leadership techniques that they can relate to and appreciate. In combining these techniques with plenty of affection, we gain the dogs' respect and trust so that they happily follow us on terrific adventures or gentle strolls. We believe very strongly that a good leader is calm and assertive, consistent, confident and kind.

Q: What If My Dog Is Not Used To Being In A Pack?
A: Just like children on the first day of school, a dog may sometimes need a little encouragement in order to discover the wonderful feeling of confidence that comes from positive, healthy social interaction. As many of our clients can confirm, we can help your dog to gain that experience.
Q: How Will I Know If My Dog Likes It?
A: You will be able to tell from your dog's reaction when the dog walker comes. If you are not home at that time, simply ask yourself, "does my dog appear to have had a nice day?" Our clients tell us that it is not hard to know the answer to this question. If your dog is enjoying himself or herself, he or she will form a bond with your dog walker within the first few visits.
Q: Do You Take Dogs With Serious Behavior Issues Such As Aggression?
A: No. But we welcome good dogs with behavior challenges. We have an excellent record of helping dogs with challenges to properly express themselves using good doggie-manners. Feel free to contact us and describe your dog's behavior if you are unsure of whether or not your dog qualifies.
Q: Are You Fully Insured?
A: Yes. Please ask us to see a copy of our insurance forms during our initial consultation. We will be happy to produce them. We are also licensed on the North Shore in the districts of North Vancouver and West Vancouver.
Q: Can You Provide References?
A: Yes. Our testimonials page is full of references from our clients and we will be happy to provide even more for you. If you would like to have a conversation with a few of our current clients, just let us know.
Q: Do You Have Employees And If So, How Are They Trained?
